The history of the Welsh Harp Reservoir

Our Campaign

This is a cross-party campaign involving residents, environmentalists and activists opposed to the West Hendon Development as current proposed by Barratt's.

The development would threaten a local natural haven which contains a wildfowl reserve and a Site of Scientific Special Interest. Current blocks which are mainly 5 storeys high plus two of 12 storeys would be replaced by a new development that includes 26 storey high-rises. The housing would also be closer to the Welsh Harp's banks and the scheme also involves two pedestrian bridges over the reservoir.
